I have over two decades of experience of working in horticulture. Initially grounds maintenance for commercial companies but it evolved into consultancy.

With the rise in demand for the treatment of both native and non-native invasive weeds, I decided to focus on specialising in these management plans. In 2019 I was recognised for my specialism and won the PCA Japanese Knotweed Technician of the Year.

Our approach with invasive weeds is not always to dig it up and remove, primarily because of the detrimental effects to the local wildlife but also the huge cost associated with this method. Even a small excavation could remove 200 tons of soil which will contain millions of insects all working in sync to maintain what’s there. This removal unbalances the natural ecosystem.

Excavation is a last resort as alternative methods are normally achievable.

Additionally I am Lantra certified for Pesticide training and assessments.

If I was to give anyone any advice it would be… “Don’t be left wondering if you have an invasive weed on your property. Contact us today
